The track has now been fully mixed and I have the master copy sitting next to me. I've sent a copy to Joe and he'll probably have it up on his MySpace within a couple of days.
You can also hear a copy on my own website.

LIPA Music Ensembles
Next week is quite big for quite a few people at LIPA, including Sound Technicians, Musicians, Lighting Technicians and various other departments.
I have been assigned as a Monitor Engineer on the final day (Friday 2nd December) for the last band to play, which means it has to be good! All the pre-production work has now been completed and all that is left to do now is arrive, set up the system and sound check the bands before the show starts at 6pm.
I'm really looking forward to them. They last four days and our class is divided up into different roles and each assigned a day. It should be good fun. Finally I can get stuck into some proper Live Sound work!!!

Changing Lanes - Joe Edwards
I have recently been collaborating with fellow sound engineer Jonathan Hucks in the studio tracking for our first recording project. We are working with Joe Edwards, a musician at LIPA, recording his track 'Changing Lanes'. All the tracks are now recorded and we have got 10 hours booked in Studio 3 to mix and master. There is a video on YouTube showing a glimpse of what happened when we recorded the track!

MTV Music Week - 3345 Club
Tonight, Jon and I are going to be working at the 3345 club in Liverpool's Parr Street Studios. It's all part of MTV's Liverpool Music Week. We've been told to arrive there at 4:30 and go with the flow! Who knows what could happen. Tonight there are 5 different acts, but they're all pretty small. The one we're not looking forward to is open mic night on Tuesday!
